Hi I am Carmen Alger

Frontend developer, based in the UK

With a semester of Bioinformatics using Python during my undergraduate biology degree as my only exposure to coding, I decided to take a chance on revisiting the idea of coding as a potential career following dissatisfcation in my current job. After 8 months of learning with SheCodes as well as working my full-time job, I have demostrable experience with writing HTML and CSS, as well as using vanilla JavaScript and React. My projects utilise Bootsrap, mulitple APIs and are fully open-sourced on Github

I am now actively looking to make the goal of changing my career to front-end development a reality. I am eager to continuously learn and improve new coding skills and use my logical and creative mindsets to become the best developer I can be. I am looking for entry level/ junior roles or programmes that offer training alonsgside working to get experience of working on real-life projects, as well as to gain knowledge from peers and mentors within the sector.
